The need for home repair in our community is vast, and our core crew can only be in so many places at once. Fortunately, we’re not alone in this venture.

Over our years of operation, we’ve built up a robust network of dependable, local subcontractors. Thanks to these companies, we’ve been able to magnify our impact far beyond what would be possible working strictly with our own team.

AHIP is partnered with a variety of local firms, with specialties ranging from electrical work and HVAC installation to gutter work and insulation installs. Each is a valued contributor to our mission, helping us to reach many in-need households that would otherwise be kept waiting.

Subcontractors’ Impact

  • AHIP’s nonprofit status allows us to seek public and private grant funding on our projects. Our subcontractors must meet specific requirements in order to be part of our bidding process, which includes providing AHIP the following:

    1. Signed Statement of Acknowledgement document

      1. Affirms that general contractors and subcontractors have read, understand, and agreed to the terms of the General Requirements document

    2. Completed and signed Contractor Qualification Statement

    3. Completed and signed valid W-9

    4. Updated Certificate of Insurance (COI) showing both general liability and Workers’ Compensation coverage

      1. AHIP must be shown on the COI as an additional insured. The contractor’s insurance provider can assist with these requirements.

    5. A copy of any certifications or licenses held by the contractorn text goes here

      All forms and copies can be sent in via the following avenues:

      • Fax: Faxes can be delivered to our office at 434.973.3730

      • Physical Mail: Physical copies of the form can be sent to our office at 2127 Berkmar Drive, Charlottesville VA 22901

  • Upon agreeing to work on an AHIP project following an initial price establishment via bidding, subcontractors are paid directly by AHIP as we would for our core crew.n
