Since 1976, we’ve repaired and rehabilitated more than 5,000 homes across Charlottesville and Albemarle County—preserving affordability, strengthening neighborhoods, and protecting the dignity of home.
This milestone isn’t just a celebration of where we’ve been. It’s a recommitment to the families and communities we will serve for decades to come.

AHIP provides critical home repairs and comprehensive rehabilitations for local homeowners who could not otherwise afford them. From emergency repairs and accessibility improvements to energy-efficiency upgrades and whole-home rehabs, our work ensures homes remain safe, healthy, and livable—especially for seniors, people with disabilities, and households with limited Incomes.
