About Our Holiday Campaign
Mrs. Morton-Jewett, now retired, was born and raised in Charlottesville. The Ridge Street home she shares with her husband is a central gathering place for their extended family.
But what happens when your family home begins to fail? And what do you do when fixed incomes and medical bills mean you don’t have enough to make critical home repairs to keep you and your family safe and sound?
When Mrs. Morton-Jewett’s electrical outlets began to spark, she knew she couldn’t ignore it. There were other things, too: failing plumbing and faulty stairlift. So she called AHIP.
“AHIP put me on the emergency list so I could get help right away,” she said. “I just appreciate the help in my time of need.”
Many of our Charlottesville and Albemarle neighbors need some help with home repairs. Your donation today means that AHIP can continue working year-round to help them.
Join us this holiday season to make sure that our neighbors will be safe at home in every season.
And your gift this holiday season will have double the impact thanks to two generous donors. Every dollar donated will be matched up to $60,000 to help us reach our goal of $120,000 by December 31, 2021.
You can help make sure our neighbors are safe, warm, and dry. Thank you for your generous support this holiday season!
I just appreciate the help in my time of need.”
